My Painting. No 2

In this painting I got advice from my friends to use watercolor to make it better.  This time I was a bit more careful with my work. It took a bit more time than last time.      

Pizza hut vs Dominos

Pizza Hut vs Dominos   

One sunny day Dominos was getting mad with Pizza Hut because Pizza Hut was getting more customers that they were. So Dominos decided to go over to Pizza Hut and bribe some of the customers to come over to their fast-food restaurant. Sadly it did not work. So Dominos went with plan B They decided to lower their pizza prices to 2 dollars each! Pizza Hut was shocked by the price they had lowered it to. So Pizza Hut lowered it to 1 dollar per pizza. Dominos was furious so they dropped a nuke on pizza hut and stole everything from there factory and built another fast-food restaurant! And at that point pizza Hut gave up and said “This isn't the last time you will see us” The End.

McDonalds vs Burger King

McDonalds vs  Burger King 
One stormy night Burger King caught McDonalds trying to steal the secret recipe. So Burger king decided to punish McDonalds by making them ONLY sell cat guts! For Burger King that was really good because if McDonalds are losing customers then that would mean Burger king would be having all of the customers the customers will come to them! But then...McDonalds hired a bull-dozer to come and destroy the Burger king factory. Burger King was really angry with McDonalds for destroying their factory! So Burger King went and stole all of Mcdonalds money and built a new factory using the money they stole! Also when people paid for there McDonalds and they paid to much McDonalds couldn't give them change because they had no money! There for BURGER KING WINS!!!!!!!

My Painting

I think that the sand colour went well. It didn't turn out how I wanted to next time I'll make the pier a bit better and colour it in. I think that I could try and add a bit more detail and try and be a bit more careful when I paint. Next time I'll make the pier a bit bigger. I would like to try watercolour.
                                                         

Excited

Excited is blue.

Excited tastes like tingling in my throat.

Excited smells like sweat.

Excited looks like jumping on a bouncy castle.

Excited sounds like kids screaming.

Making ice cream

Salt works by lowering the freezing point of water.  The salt go in and disrupts the bonds on the surface of the ice coursing the ice to melt faster.  We made ice cream to do that we had to put a lot of ice in a bag with heaps of salt then we put some smoothie in a smaller bag then shack the bag for awhile and you eat the ice cream.    

Balloon experiment

When the R.I.S.E team was here, we did some experiments. The first one that we did was about static electricity. We rubbed a balloon on our heads or on the wall and made the balloon stick to the roof, or you can stick tissue paper to the balloon and make it a floating ghost.

Pulleys

In inquiry we made a pulley. A pulley is a simple machine that makes lifting heaving objects that are too heavy for the normal human. The top of the creation is called the axle it is the part that lets the rope go through.Using more pulleys makes it a lot easier to pull it up. You need a stable base so all the work stays in place. We made ours out of plastic squares from school supplies. Taller the strucksher is needed for pulling heavy stuff like stone on to high stories in the city. A giant is in cranes and other big stuff. You need a lot of string or rope that is sturdy. The hole pulley needs to be able to move. We used straws and put tape so it would not move side to side. To make the heavy object we put blocks in a plastic cup.

Science

Science
At school we are learning about ecosystems. An ecosystem is a self sustaining environment. An ecosystem can be underwater or on land. In an ecosystem there are worms rocks dirt and water. An ecosystem is made of animals, plants and bacteria. An ecosystem has producers, consumers and decomposers. The favourite thing that I enjoyed was making an ecosystem in a plastic bottle.

Kids Teach

Kids teach
Kids teach is a time for kids to teach activities that other kids may not know. The activities that I did were hockey and riper rugby. The people who coached hockey were Robbie and Kaden. The people who coached riper rugby were Toby and Noah. In riper rugby know one was listening to the coaches but in hockey everyone was listening. I loved kids teach I hope we can do it again.

The Kakapo

     Kakapo

The kakapo is a nocturnal parrot.The Kakapo only lives in New Zealand.The
kakapo has whiskers so it  can feel around at night. The kakapo is the world's
heaviest non flying parrot. The kakapo climbs trees because it can not fly. The
kakapo has short wigs. The kakapo is a herbivore. The kakapo shakes the tree
until the food comes down.

Sphero battle bots

Last week me and Rylin made a battle bot. We made a Peppa pig battle bot.  We had a balloon, a sphero and a straw. We folded the sides of the battle bot so our balloon wouldn't pop that easy.  

      

year 6 camp

Waipara Camp

It was boring on the bus to camp.

On camp my favourite activity was the giant swing because it felt like I was flying.

I challenged myself on the giant swing. It felt like it was 50 metres up in the air.

My favourite meal was roast beef because it was covered in gravy.

It was hard to get to sleep because someone in my cabin was snoring.

            

Sphero Challenge

Rylin and I made a chariot.  We used cardboard, sellotape and CD disks.  The sphero moved the chariot.

The hardiest thing was racing the chariot.
